It is a new collection of footwear and clothing, made from recycled plastic launched by Puma in partnership with First Mile. The collection is made entirely from recycled yarns and serves PUMA’s initiative of being “Forever Better” by reducing its environmental impact. PUMA’s apparel offerings are all sports-focused, with pairs combining recycled materials alongside its LQDCELL technology for a variety of boldly colored, comfortable performance sneakers.
Established in 1948 in Germany, Puma is a leading sports brand pushing sports forward in more than 120 countries. They are passionate about designing, developing, selling and marketing footwear, apparel and accessories. In 70 years, PUMA has established a history as creator of fast product designs for the fastest athletes on the planet: Enhancing areas such as football, running, and training, golf and motorsports with performance and sport-inspired lifestyle products.
First Mile is a people-focused network that strengthens micro-economies in Haiti, Honduras, and Taiwan by collecting plastic bottles to create sustainable jobs and reduce environmental waste. Each bottle is sorted, cleaned, shredded, and turned into yarn that becomes apparel, footwear, and accessories from brands around the world.
