Wastewater management measures in textile dyeing industries - a review

  • The article discusses in detail about various sustainable measures that could be implemented in the textile industry across the entire production value chain with an emphasis on water management. Details on environmental assessment procedures involved in industries to adapt to sustainability measures are also provided. 

    The study focuses on sustainable measures for water and energy conservation, effluent and solid waste treatment, and optimization of chemical usage across the textile industry value chain. Examples from Lebanese industries on boiler and steam distribution system optimization, waste minimization, and segregation are also discussed.
