  • This paper deals with a comparison study on the aspects of energy economics in the textile industry using the conventional system and cogeneration system in the Indian textile industry. Engineering calculations on energy savings due to the use of cogeneration in the textile industry are provided.  Details about the payback period and cost analysis are also discussed.

    A brief about the different processes involved in yarn and fabric production is also given. This is an academic research paper done by the students of KNSK College of Engineering, Nagercoil.
