US Cotton Trust Protocol is a platform providing measured and verified data about the sustainability of US cotton to textile brands and retailers. It enables the brands to gather the data directly from the cotton growers through questionnaires and support tools on an annual basis which allows them to track their annual progress towards sustainability targets.
Developed in alignment with the UN sustainability goals, the protocol focuses on six key sustainability metrics – land use, soil carbon, water management, soil loss, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy efficiency.
