The Sustainable Apparel Coalition is the apparel, footwear, and textile industry’s leading alliance for sustainable production. The Coalition develops the Higg Index, a standardized value chain measurement suite of tools for all industry participants.
The tools measure environmental and social & labor impacts across the value chain. With this data, the industry can address inefficiencies, resolve damaging practices, and achieve the environmental and social transparency consumers are demanding. By joining forces in a Coalition, they are addressing the urgent, systemic challenges that are impossible to change alone.
