Redress is a Hong Kong-based NGO with a mission to promote environmental sustainability in Asia’s fashion industry by reducing textile waste, pollution, water, and energy consumption. They achieve this via educational sustainable fashion shows, exhibitions, competitions, seminars, research, certifications, and media outreach.
Redress' unique profile allows them to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. To date, they have worked with multiple fashion designers, garment and textile manufacturers, fashion retailers, secondary schools and universities, multilateral organizations, government, NGOs, financial institutions, and media organizations.
By working with the partners, they aim to enhance, educate and enable the adoption of a more sustainable fashion industry that will help to minimize the negative impact and maximize the positive impact of the fashion industry on society and the environment. Through their work with designers, industry, and consumers, Redress actively supports and promotes the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 12 - Sustainable Consumption and Production
