The non-profit H&M Foundation is a lifelong and privately funded commitment from the Stefan Persson family, founders of the H&M group. Through partnerships with experienced organizations around the globe, the H&M Foundation aims to accelerate the progress needed to reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
The fundamental idea is that the H&M Foundation can contribute with innovative ways of thinking and, together with its partners, find new solutions to the grand challenges in the field of textile sustainability and eco-fashion innovation. H&M Foundation works within the areas of Education, Water, Equality, and Planet. In addition to this, they can also provide emergency relief for local projects to directly address urgent needs.
The foundation works with experienced organizations across the globe to create long-lasting positive change and improve living conditions by investing in people, communities, and innovative ideas. Their partners include UNICEF, HKRITA, Save The Children, Water Aid, United Nations Foundation, and BBC Media Lab.
