The Partnership for Sustainable Textiles is a multi-stakeholder initiative with about 135 members from business, government, civil society, unions, and standards organizations. Together, they strive to improve the conditions within global textile supply networks — from the production of raw materials to re-use and disposal.
The partnership members work towards substantial improvements in their global supply networks. They do so through individual responsibility, collective engagement, and mutual support. The Partnership supports its members on this journey and structures its approach according to the OECD recommendations for due diligence in the textile and garment sector. Members are requested to formulate meaningful goals and implement appropriate measures based on the results of their risk assessment. Moreover, the Partnership serves as a platform for dialogue and learning in the various issues related to textile production.
To achieve a broader impact and increase synergies, the Partnership cooperates with relevant organizations and initiatives in the sector.
