This resource from Circle Economy shares insights on its high value textile recycling projects carried out in partnerships with three brands - ReBlend, G-Star and ReShare.
The first case study on a project with G-Star shares its efforts to build a closed loop denim system and making recycled denim part of sourcing strategy in the long term. The second study involving the brand ReBlend is a Dutch circular fashion & textiles agency, working with designers for post consumer textiles recycling. It involved testing of mechanical recycling to design knitted and upholstery products.
The third brand ReShare worked with Circle Economy to recycle workwear into high quality products. Results from three studies showed that use of recycled materials result in significant reduction in water and energy consumption and reduced GHG emissions compared to their virgin equivalents. In some cases, they also have a price premium.
