The article describes in detail some of the strategic approaches taken by companies towards sustainability in the Italian fashion industry.
The identified approaches are described in terms of the social and environmental practices implemented inside and outside of the focal company in collaboration with its supply chain partners.
Details on their approach methods across the value chain drivers and challenges for textile industries towards the implementation of sustainable measures and possible recommendations have also been provided. Results show that further research in the supply chain management considering all the above factors could assist industries to adopt sustainable measures on a larger scale.
